FO: Tardis Socks

Alrightly all you Whovians, I finally finished my Tardis Socks!  I used Wendy D. Johnson's Gusset Heel Basic Sock pattern along with a skein of Fibernymph Dyeworks Bounce Sock Yarn in Tardis colorway on a US Size  1 (2.25mm) pair of circs (knit in magic loop).  These fit like a glove and are warm and toasty with the perfect touch of geekery. :)

I absolutely love the funky way the self-striping sock yarn works up with this pattern.  Just like with my Peppermint Twist Socks, the gusset and heel cup have a really cool, thick stripe.  And because of the stripes and the short rows, the gussets look like there is blanket stitching on them.  LOVE IT!

You'll have to knit a pair of your own to see if they're bigger on the inside.  ;p

  1. Now your feet can travel in time and space- in style!

  2. I said it before, I love these colors and the socks look great. I hope they are bigger on the inside, so are my feet ! Lol

  3. I love those socks. I think Lisa's yarns are pretty cool, and I will have to try and get some of her fruit loop colorway now.

  4. *fangirl squee and a thud*

That would be the sound of me enjoying your latest creation.

  5. Wait... you made 2 socks!!! I love the socks and that yarn!

  6. Love Dr. Who and love these socks. Tardis socks are cool.

  7. Oooh lovely socks. Bet they'll keep your tootsies warm and snug :)
