1000 Blog Follower Giveaway!


As of today, I have 1,000 Google Friend Connect followers on my blog!!!  ( There are many  more followers via feed subscription too, but they are harder to track.)




As a thank you for all of my loyal followers, I'm going to give away a skein of (self-striping) sock yarn that I had custom dyed for me in Candy Cane Stripes by Serenity Stitches! The yarn is her Quarks base.  It's a fingering weight (3-ply) yarn, 425 yards & 100g, 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon.  It's a $23 value.

  6. I'd love to be gifted with what I think are called yarn holders. Containers in which you put your yarn when knitting with several colors to keep them from being tangled. The desire of my heart would be for antique holders. Do tell Santa

    I already got my Christmas present at Rhinebeck: a Schact Sidekick and I LOVE IT TO BIIIIITS! If Santa has any room in his bag and thinks I've been good, I would love a whole mess of fiber from Into the Whirled. I fell in love while at Rhinebeck this year. GORGEOUS PRETTYFUL FIBER!

  25. My birthday was yesterday, and I got everything on my list! So now I don't know what I want for Christmas. Hmmm. Cash is always good! I know! I want to spend the day with just my two kids and husband, watching movies and playing games - with no fighting! No complaining and no leaving to hang out with friends. This is really a pipe dream, as the kids are 21 & 18.

  43. I think gift certificates for yarn are top on my list. We're all happy and healthy, even though we're going through transitions, but a little yarn would make life that much sweeter.

    I would really be happy with hugs from my family and lots of kisses and snugle time.

  49. I'm hoping for gift cards to knitpicks.com or a local yarn shop. I can't get enough sock yarn since I have 7 socks in queue and a shawl i want to make from sock yarn. Also asked for pattern books and a sound dock. Need some good tunes or audio books while knitting :)

  71. Even though, for many years now, I have been telling my family that I would love a gift certificate for my LYS, they have as yet taken the hint. So again this year, I am going to try again only this time I think I'll post it on fb and twitter and then maybe they'll get the idea.

    Congratulations on #1,000. That is wonderful but certainly not surprising. Your blog, podcasts and tweets have kept me amused for a while now. I have enjoyed them immensely.

  97. My Christmas wish list? Yarn,crocheting, and bead work supplies. I love to crochet blankets and scarves. I also work with beads and make jewelry as well. There is a lot of craft projects I would like to do. I have several open projects. My own only problem? Not enough time. By the way, I love this yarn you're showing. Would make an excellent scarf for the holidays :)
