Anna Hrachovec, author of Knitting Mochimochi and Mochimochi Land, brings us another collection of her famed toy designs.  In Teeny Tiny Mochimochi, Anna takes her love of knitting toys to new heights.. or.. er.. teeniness.  Anna combines her love of knitted toys with her fascination of all things teeny to create this super cute book of knitted toy patterns.  The "Tinys" as Anna calls them, are an army of cuteness, sure to make any toy knitter giggle with delight.

Included in this book are detailed instructions for making your tinys.  Anna goes through which materials you'll need, how to cast on, pick up stitches, embroider details onto the tinys, and how to stuff and seam them.  All you need is some scrap yarn, DPNs, and some notions to get started.

Following the patterns portion of this book, Anna has a "Tiny Possibilities" Chapter where she highlights some cute ways to use your finished tinys:
  • Wear Them: Earrings, Charm Bracelet (Yes, they are THAT tiny!)
  • Carry Them: Keychain, Pins
  • Display Them: Magnets, Office Mates
  • Give Them: Gift Toppers, Ornaments
She also includes a "Knitting Essentials" section that is fully illustrated to help the newbie knitter brush up on basic techniques.

I thought this book was fun, inspired, and a must have for those who love to make knitted toys or knitted miniatures.  My DD immediately swiped this book from me and has planned for me to make her several tinys to play with as well as make her a tinys charm bracelet. (UBER CUTE!)  I may need my reading glasses for these!

Note: These knitted toys are VERY tiny.  They are not suitable for young children who may put them in their mouths as they are definitely a choking hazard.  Please do not make them for young children or pets who would put them into their mouths!
