FO: Baby Cardigan

Behold my finished Baby Cardigan from the Craftsy Crochet: Beyond Rectangles Class with Linda Permann! I used Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo in Cherry Blossom colorway and some scrap Caron Spa in Green Sheen colorway for the trim.  I decided to use simple 5/8" ribbon ties instead of buttons to create a more boutique feel.

I also decided to create a rolled ribbon pin for the lapel of the cardi using 1 1/2" sheer ribbon, felt for the backing, Fabri-Tac, and a 1" bar pin.  I think it turned out so cute!  Of course if this was going on a real baby, I would nix the pin. (Choking hazard)  But since it's going to adorn my craft space, the pin is a go!

I really had a lot of fun making this cardigan and look forward to continuing to improve my crochet skills!  If you want to learn a new craft, head over to Craftsy and take a class!  It REALLY helped me learn to construct a sweater.  And not just my first crocheted sweater, but my first sweater EVAH!  How awesome is that?!

BTW- I'm the featured crafter on the Craftsy Blog right now!  {{BLUSH}}  Thanks, Stefanie!
