Yesterday, hubby & I packed up the family and journeyed to OH. Our first stop was A Knitter's Fantasy in Youngstown, OH. Typically I take oodles of pics, but this year, since hubby & the kids were with me, I decided not to waste a lot of time taking pics and talking to vendors so that I could get in a yarn purchase before they got too bored.
We walked around the venue about 3 times before I finally decided that I MUST-MUST-MUST take this Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Linen Lace home with me. I'm already working on the Featherweight Cardigan by Hannah Fettig in KnitPicks Stroll Tonal Yarn (Canopy Colorway).
My Featherweight Cardigan in progress. Knitting it in KnitPicks Stroll Tonal.
But Fine Points had the same pattern worked up in this Claudia Linen lace and the drape was utterly amazing! At once, I knew this would be my one and only purchase for the day. So I picked up 3 hanks of the Passion Fruit Colorway at 540 yds/hank and we were on our way.
We spent the rest of the day in Medina, where I grew up, visiting with my entire family! I got to see my brother, sister, their families, and my parents! We ate and ate and ate while all of the cousins played together. It was such a nice day. Infact, we had so much fun hanging out with everyone that we didn't get back to Pittsburgh until midnight! LOL!
Anywho.. I'm pretty thrilled about this Claudia Yarn. I'm trying to decide if I should knit ANOTHER Featherweight Cardigan with this yarn or if I should knit Wispy by Hannah Fettig with the Claudia. Decisions. Decisions.
Okay, knit & crochet peeps: If you had 1620 yds of Linen Lace yarn, what would YOU create with it?
UPDATE: I've decided to use this Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Linen Lace to knit up Adrift by Carol Feller. Oooo - I can't wait to cast on! I ordered a pair of Signature Needles (circs) for this project. I'd better finish up my Featherweight Cardigan lickety split so that I can cast on!!
