What the Dickens

I decided to crochet a quick little pair of fingerless mitts during the AFC Championship Game.  I crocheted What the Dickens Fingerless Mitts by Inkberryblue.  (Thank you to Inkberryblue for putting up with my questions about her pattern.) These are crocheted using just under 1 skein of Rowan RYC Cashsoft DK in Sweet Pink.  Because I used a DK wt yarn, I modified the mitts by ch 32 instead of 24 (giving me 8 shells instead of 6).

Since I have very short hands, I completed rounds 2-13 exactly as written in the pattern.  I did modify the last round.  Instead of crab stitch, I sc all the way around.  Then I added a 15th round (because the finger opening was still a little too loose) and did 2sc, sc2tog all the way around and then fastened off.  These pics are unblocked.  (I'll block 'em tomorrow.) I think they turned out great!  And they'll look great with my olive coat!
