Today I decided to knit some fingerless mitts!  These are Owl Mitts by Sandra Satre.  I knit them up with my Kollage Square Knitting Needles, US Size 9, 40" (magic loop).  Please excuse these crummy pics.  The one above makes my mitts look wonky.  :(  But I had my webcam on top of my head to try to get a shot of both mitts.  LOL!

This pic I took with my left hand (I'm right handed.) on my cell phone.. ;p  My photography skills leave much to be desired!  I knit these up in about 3 hrs with less than 1 skein of Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease in Oxford Grey.  It was a fun, fabulous little knit!  I highly recommend it!

  1. Great mitts. Do you have a pic of the webcam on your head? LOL.

    Ally-Crooked Smile Creations.

  2. Ally - you're the 2nd person who's asked me that! LOL!

  3. For the most part, I don't ever get the urge to learn how to knit. Until I see your creations! They're always so gorgeous. Someday I'll learn....

  4. Love your mitts! I've been wanting to makes these for awhile now, and had some wool-ease in mind to use. But I think I only have about 1/2 a skein - do you think that would be enough?

  5. Robyn - You'd probably have enough if you made the cuffs short like I did. I think I used APPROX. 1/2 a skein of Wool Ease. I'd just make the cuffs 1 or 1 1/2 inches as opposed to the 3 inches in her pattern.

  6. Those are so cute! I've seen that pattern on rav before and have contemplated it. I've got too many projects right now anyways. I love them though!

  7. love it!! i've been meaning to make these for a while actually. love 'em.
