Crafting Wishlist

Hubby NEVER knows what to buy me for birthdays and holidays.  He usually just drives me to the store or buys me a gift card.  So I've decided to create a craft supply wishlist.  Some women give their hubbies a card with their measurements and ring sizes on it so they can purchase lingerie and jewelry for their wives.  But me, I'd rather have a bouquet of Addi Turbos than a bouquet of roses.. So here's (part of ) my wishist:

Silhouette SD Digital Craft Cutter

Bernina 830 High Performance Sewing Machine

Hot Start Pro Glass Kiln

5' x 5' Yarn Display - This display unit is made of cherry, but I'd prefer cedar for my wool!

72" Quilter's Design Wall - Would like to make my own free-standing wall on legs that tilts (the way old chalkboards used to) into a veritcal OR horizonal wall.  (See dry erase board above for general idea) One side, I'd have cotton flannel for quilt design and the other side, I'd have a blocking board for my knitting projects.

Idea Paint - Dry Erase Paint that turns any surface into a dry erase board.  Would love to have this in my craft room!

The Workbox Craft Storage Armoire

AccuQuilt Go Fabric Cutter

These are a few of the things on my wishlist.  OF course I have a zillion little things and tools on my list as well.. but these are my dream items.  I'd also like to set up stations so that I don't have to move my items around: Fiber Arts Station, General Crafts Station, Soap & Lotion Making Station, Glass and Beading station, Sewing Station.. What is on your wish list?  What would your ideal craft space look like?

  1. OoooO-ing and AAAHH-ing over your entire list...I could add each of those to my list too...BUT I guess #1 would BE an actual "crafting room" - heck I'd even settle for a craft table or knitting chair w/out cheese puff finger marks on it house. for. sure. you have any good resources for learning cables? LMK :)

  2. Wow, what an amazing list. I agree with MamaJoss, I would like a craft room. With two little boys and little space my items are stuffed away and my bed becomes my knitting location.

On my list would be a class on learning to crochet and more advanced knitting. I really want to do a log cabin blanket.

  3. We have a lot of the same things on our wish list! :)

  4. I soooo want a craft room. Need a bigger house first. Hubby might let me have one mainly because he wants me keep all my craft supplies organized and neat. The Nest Decorating Book has the most adorable craft room. I would love one similar to that one. ahhh dreams...

  5. Love the yarn storage unit. I badly need one of those myself. My ideal craft room would have space for my dye studio, an area for yarn storage, a light box and photo taking area, and my desk so I could run my business all out of one room.

  6. OMG, great wish list! I may have to start a wish list, too.

The digital craft cutter is intriguing and that storage armoire is a crafter's fantasy come true. I have a lovely studio room, but it needs little drawers like those to contain the oodles of little things that I use.

  7. I feel like I'm in over my head with the crafting I already do (just teaching myself to knit and I do some paper-crafting, and have an old sewing machine for when I need it...), so most of your items are not on my list! :-P I did want to comment though because I have a silhouette and love it! I use it on paper a lot (obviously) for cards, but I have cut the adhesive vinyl silhouette offers and glass etched some coasters with it. I've also had some success cutting stiffened fabric with it. Based on what I read in one of your below posts, I think you'll love the home-decorating possibilities with it!

(Sorry if a lot of my babble is not new to you, I got far down enough on the screen to notice your scrapbooking links section... I didn't realize you were already into that! :) )
