Yay! I'm on time... I love the Louet Mooi - what amazing color! And I'm not sure what notions are, but I gather from looking around the site they might be accessories? So I picked out the Namaste Needle Binder Bags - what a cool bag. Love the color and it looks like it would hold a ton.
ReplyDeleteI already follow you :)

my fave yarn over at webs is probably the artyarns cashmere sock yarn in purple/ burgundy... or maybe the greens. or the malabrigo sock yarn, i've been wanting to try that and the indiecita is drool-inducing. and notions... does the ball winder & wooden swift combo count? was i supposed to have left this in three different comments?
ReplyDeleteleft a comment on the webs blog
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Schaefer Anne in ingridberg Ingrid Bergman. One of these days, I need to get myself a swift and ball winder.
ReplyDeletei'm following you on my rss feed!
ReplyDeleteI already follow you on Twitter. Thanks for the great contest!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think the Louet Mooi
ReplyDeleteis beautiful & the Lantern Moon Shawl Pins are on my wish list. Thank you for sharing the website with us. I usually shop my LYS's, but 2 have closed down in the past year. SOB!
I'm following you.
ReplyDeleteI am forever checking the closeouts page and am in love with the Debbie Bliss Pure Cashmere or any of the cashmere yarns. As for notion; I am lusting after the Addi Clik set. Who isn't?

Yeah,I left a comment on the WEB's blog! I shopped as well.
ReplyDeleteLast, but not least, I added your blog to my feed.
ReplyDeleteGreat contest :^) I don't know how to pick a favorite really. I love Cascade, Plymouth, Berroco, etc. I have been really wanting to try the Adriafil sock yarn though - so I guess I'll put that as my fav - or at least my fav wishlist :^)

Fav Yarn: Rowan Calmer Closeout because it's calmer, which is a fantastic yarn, at half the price! Such a good deal.
Fav Notion: Webs Blocking Board - it's bit and folds and has handles which makes it super usable!
Favorite yarn? That's like asking for my favorite color--it totally depends! What I look for in a lace yarn, or in a sock yarn are completely different from what I look for in a sweater yarn ... ultimately, though, it's hard to go wrong with Cascade 220. (Though, gosh, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino is always amazing, and Lorna's Laces shepherd sock is a great sock yarn, and...)
ReplyDeletePicking a favorite accessory isn't exactly easy, either, but I can tell you I'm lusting after the Addi Click interchangeable needles!
Oh, and I AM following you. (How could I resist that grosgrain ribbon?)
And I DID leave Kathy a comment.
I even twittered about the contest, too!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteGreat contest!
My favorite yarn at WEBS, and one that I would buy in every color, is Northampton. I've made two projects out of it already and I think it is of highest quality and a great value. I am a notions addict, but I think I'll pick the Eucalan Wool Wash as my favorite--it's hard to find in LYS's around here (NJ), so I have bought it at WEBS online.
I am also following your blog now.
Deb in NJ
ruthsgirl61@yahoo.com
aw bummer, i wish i lived out towards WEBs so I could stop on in and see all the yarn. But I'll do what I can.... I've posted on the WEBs blog (as usual) and have also joined up to follow yours!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI left a comment on the WEBS blog.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm now following your blog. I love it!
I love Cascade 109 solids and tweeds. Those yarns are a great "go-to" yarn and are nice and squishy. My fave notion is probably the folding scissors (because I'm always losing mine) or the needle cases. Right now my needles are in a wicker basket or zip-lock bags in about 3 different locations around the apartment. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteFavorite yarn has to be Berroco Love It Colors, and favorite notion is Lantern Moon Palmwood Needle Bag Handles.
ReplyDeleteSigned up to follow your blog and your twitter updates :)
ReplyDeleteJust posted a comment on the WEBS blog. Do I get extra points for following Kathy on Twitter? :)
ReplyDeleteNashua Geologie would be my yarn choice, although with hundreds of choices, it ain't easy to pick just one. I like the 389 Shale, 384 Citrine and 388 Barite colorways, they all look great to me.
ReplyDeleteFor a notion, the Baskets of Cambodia Saraye Traveler Collapsible Travel Purse sounds nice. I like things that are easy to store when not in use. Of course, when is a project bag not in use?
I've posted to my blog at http://kitten-with-a-whiplash.blogspot.com/2009/02/two-hat-week-at-moms.html
ReplyDeleteI looked around at the Webs store again (not that I need more tempting!) and I love the Jojoland Melody Superwash. I love the way the colors change!
ReplyDeleteThe notion would have to be the Goosepond Brass Sheep Needle Gauge. So cute!
I added you to my Google Reader so I'll be following your blog now too and I also left Kathy a message on hers. Which was how I found yours! :)
I've left a comment on the WEBS blog.
ReplyDeleteI just posted about the giveaway on my blog! I hope that it's ok that my entries link to my blog, my email's on my profile there. Keeping my fingers crossed :)
ReplyDeleteI love Berroco Jasper, lovely to knit with! I couldn't locate the "notions" either, so how about I pick a Woolpets Felting Kit? Especially the little red fox? If that doesn't count, I'd guess they've got a tape measure in there somewhere; I've lost mine!

ReplyDeleteI also got a lantern moon double pointed needle case. It's beautiful!
OK, I like the green Artyarns Regal Silk yarn ( http://www.yarn.com/webs-knitting-crochet-yarns-artyarns/webs-knitting-yarns-artyarns-regal-silk-discontinued/ ) (it's discontinued though, on no!) & also the pink cute Zephar stitch markers ( http://www.yarn.com/webs-knitting-accessories-stitch-markers-holders-point-protectors/webs-knitting-crochet-accessories-zephyr-style-stitch-markers/). Hi Knit Purl Gurl,
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm so excited about this giveaway.
I went to the Webs store and I love the Malabrigo worsted in Ravelry Red. Do books count as notions? I hope so because I'm so dying to get French Girl Knits.
In addition, I visited the Webs blog, left a comment and subscribed. Plus subscribed to your blog and am now leaving a comment. I hope that gets me a lot of lucky entries!
I love, love, love WEBS! I'm lusting over the Louet Mooi (I got to touch it when I was at the store a couple of weeks ago and its simply scrumptious!). My latest favourite notion is the highlighter tape. It sure makes following charts a LOT easier. I want it in every colour, to suit my mood or project. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat contest!
Just left a comment at Kathy's blog (that I read pretty faithfully already). Fun contest!
ReplyDeleteSherri (saxcell@gmail.com)

ReplyDeleteName: Bonnie Elliott
email: ochosi99@sympatico.ca
Favorite notion: Small GoKnit Pouch. I take a lot of projects with me to classes (I'm in college) and it's just the right size to stick in my backpack with everything else, and I can leave the yarn ball in the bag so it has some protection.
ReplyDeleteFavorite yarn is Valley Yarns Deerfield- I'm a sucker for alpaca/silk blends. :)
-Kris
quiet000001 @ hotmail.com
okay, so instead of going into the store i decided that going through the website was the closest i could get (ooo, a vacation trip out to WEBs sounds heavenly right now!)
ReplyDeleteI must say that tofutsies is definitely my favorite. I'm on a sock knitting spree right now and so any and all sock yarn is super lovely. Yes, yes indeed.

Oh, I forgot my notion: it's the Lantern moon peppermint candy tape measure. There's no pic, but I've seen them in IK. Cute!
ReplyDeleteThe Plymouth Royal Silk Merino looks gorgeous and I would like to try out the Nancys Knit Knacks DP WIP Tubes. I've heard good things about them.

ReplyDeleteWEBS yarn store favorites:
ReplyDeleteArtyarns Ensemble or Regal silk ... yummy!
Notions: The Knit Kit (already had my eye on this from a post on ravelry). :)
Neat. This is the first time visiting your blog and the store. That goodie bag looks to die for so I will join this challenge. I visited Webs and like the J. Knits Stunning and what color I like is the Wyoming. As for notions I found The Knit Kit that looks awesome! That thing is now on my wishlist. Thanks for letting me be apart of your contest. Hope I win!

ReplyDeleteooooooooooooooh, what a cool contest!
ReplyDeleteMy fave yarn from Webs would be the drool worthy ArtYarns Ensemble, delish. I know a book isn't technically a notion but right now "French Girl Knits" is at the top of my non-yarn list!!!!!
I follow you using my RSS feed, I can't make your "follow me" button work, ack.
ReplyDeleteAnd lastly, being the good and dutiful knitter I am, I blogged about you today (2/17/09) at:

the yarn i ALWAYS drool over (but haven't ordered yet) is Jade Sapphire Silk Cashmere. my favorite notion is "Knit Klips"-- i have three sets already, and i love them to death. they saved my life when i was joining the panels for babette.
ReplyDeleteMay Canadians enter? My favourite yarn (or at least the one that appeals to me the most today) is the Madelinetosh Hand Dyed Sock in Jade, and my favourite notion... well, I guess swifts aren't really "notions," so I guess it would have to be the Clover Kacha Kacha Row Counter.

ReplyDeleteMission accomplished. I have blogged (for what it's worth) about this contest at http://www.servantsquarters.ca/woolpower/2009/02/sucker-for-great-giveaway.html
ReplyDeleteI ogle, yes, ogle like a stalkerazzi the Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk. Two of my most favourite & fabulous fibres together to make this delicate and delectable yarn. Oh and I prefer it in mullberry if you please, because I'm in complete denial about spring.
ReplyDeleteAnd though it's not really a notion, I'm head over heels for the Schacht Ladybug Spinning Wheel. Seriously, I have dreams about devouring a gingerbread version of this spinning wheel!

ReplyDeleteLove Webs.. in fact, I just got a package of yarny delight from them on Friday.
But what I covet every time I visit their site is the Dream in Color Classy.. Blue Lagoon! I've never treated myself to any DIC but it's on the list.
And the yarn meter looks like something that would be very handy to help me figure out how much yarn I have left.
Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to participate in the contest and enjoyed reading some of your blog. Happy knitting.
Susan
I just left a comment on Kathy's blog!
ReplyDeleteSince I've never gotten around to buying it, I'd like to try Dream in Color Smooshy. Since I make socks, I would like to get some Fiber Trends sock blockers.

ReplyDeleteActually I've been following the Kathy's blog for about a year now.
Thanks for the contest! I like the Rowan Purelife yarn and the mini bags from Lexie Barnes.

ReplyDeleteRe: notions. The WEBS blocking board would be amazing to have.
PS-don't go into their closeouts if you don't want to buy something. the prices and selection in there are amazing!

My favorite is Cascade Heritage Hand Paints sock yarn--I'm using some right now that I bought at Webs and its fabulous! As for notions I'm a fan of the circular row counter. I also left a comment on Kathy's blog.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the look of Valley Yarns Southwick, a bamboo/cotton blend. I have a perfect pattern for it, and am planning to make it in the Lake colorway. My most favorite accessory is the Webs Ball Winder and Wooden Swift Combo, which I have and adore! It's also good for keeping grandchildren enthralled.

Hooray for contests! I love the Dream in Color Yarn, and Smooshy in Blue Lagoon would make a beautiful sweater for me if I ever get through all the knits that have been promised to other people first. As far as accessories, If I didn't already have 3 knitting bags I would jump at the chance to buy Lexi Barnes Jinx bag, because of the Chinese inspired cloud and abstract motif.
ReplyDeleteHmm, my comment disappeared...anyway, I love Dream in color smooshy and would use Blue Lagoon to make myself a sweater if people would quit asking me for things and I would love a Lexi Barnes Jinx bag for the Chinese inspired motif. I also left a comment on the webs bag and will be blogging about this contest on my blog. http://www.autumnblossomknits.wordpress.com/
ReplyDeletehands down.. Noro is my favorite, and the swift and ball winder would be my choice.
