Unlike my more ambitious knitsters - I am NOT knitting up oodles of Christmas gifts for the family/extended family. It's just way too much knitting and a whole lot of people who do not understand the time, commitment, and care that goes into handmade knitted items. I mean, according to one Ms. Pearl-McPhee, it is approximately 34,000 stitches for 1 pair of socks... no one else but another knitter would appreciate that kind of commitment in a gift. Having said all that - that doesn't mean that a nice handmade hostess gift wouldn't be appropriate. And I have to say that I am LOVE-LOVE-LOVING KrisKnits' blog! She has some beautiful dishcloth patterns. Some are free and some are for sale. But even the pattern kits that are for sale included SEVERAL patterns in a themed kit for a very nominal fee. I plan on knitting up the Thanksgiving Autumn and Winter Wonder Cloths. Give her blog a peek!
